Definition
The weight included in the rental price, in tons. A commercial term set by the hauler, not a property of the container.
What else to know about tonnage allowance
Two quotes for the same size are not comparable until you know both allowances. This is the number brokers are least reliable about, because they are relaying it rather than setting it.
