100 square feet of roof coverage. The unit roofers estimate and order in, and the unit that lets you predict tear-off weight.
What else to know about roofing square
Three-tab shingles run about 250 pounds per square; architectural closer to 400. A 30 square roof is roughly 3.7 to 6 tons before underlayment or a second layer.
